Privacy Policy

The short version

Chronos has no account, asks for no email, and sends nothing about you anywhere. Your progress, your streak and your collection are stored on your phone. The app does record a small analytics log — but it stays on the device, you can read every line of it inside the app, and you can switch it off.

What is stored, and where

Everything Chronos knows about you lives in the app's own storage on your device: your XP and level, your streak, which lessons you have finished, which questions you got wrong so they can come back for review, your collection, and your settings. None of it is transmitted.

Analytics

Chronos records product analytics events — for example that a lesson was started, or that a session finished. This is worth being precise about, because "analytics" usually means data being sent to somebody:

These events are written to a buffer on your phone. There is no uploader in the app. There is no analytics SDK.
You can read the entire log yourself: Settings → See the events collected. Nothing is recorded that you cannot inspect there.
You can clear it, and you can turn recording off entirely with the Product analytics switch in Settings.

What Chronos does not do

No account, no sign-in, no email address.
No advertising. There is no ad code of any kind in the app.
No third-party SDKs, no trackers, no analytics services.
No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
No advertising identifier, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track you with.

Notifications

If you switch on the daily reminder, Chronos asks iOS for permission to send you a local notification at the time you choose. It is scheduled by your phone and delivered by your phone. No server is involved and no notification token is sent anywhere. Turning the reminder off removes it.

Purchases

Chronos does not currently sell anything. The app can still restore a subscription bought in an earlier version, which is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

Children

Chronos is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Delete all my data. Because nothing is stored off the device, that deletes everything: progress, streak, collection, settings and the local analytics log. Deleting the app does the same. There is no server copy to request, because there is no server.

Changes

If a future version of Chronos sends anything off your device, this page will say so plainly and the date above will change before that version ships.
